Washington , D.C. - Walid Maalouf, Director of Public Diplomacy for Middle Eastern & MEPI Affairs at the U.S. Agency for International Development, invites you to join the Lebanese American Renaissance Partnership Trip to Lebanon .

The Lebanese American Renaissance Partnership Trip to Lebanon is an initiative that aims to rebuild Lebanon after the July 2006 war. It consists of a Lebanese American delegation of 250 business, professional, and community leaders from around the nation for a two-day conference (November 10 - 11, 2006).

The aim of the trip is to support the Lebanese government's institutions and capacity-building, to lift the spirit of the Lebanese people and, in consultation with the USAID office in Beirut , to provide possible donations to Lebanese non-governmental organizations and or municipalities in order to encourage local governments.

This conference will be held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Lebanon His Excellency Fouad Seniora .  Panel discussion at the parliament, a luncheon at Solidere, and a press conference for the whole delegation will be part of the trip plan.
